Being still fairly new to the world of UX this is only the second product I’ve designed using Figma. I am proud of the result and it was a brilliant learning experience. I was very fortunate to receive a lot of excellent regular feedback throughout the process from my tutors and several Senior UX/UI Designers and taking their advice really elevated my understanding of design fundamentals, best practice and how to get the most out of Figma. This is the first time I’ve used variants and interactive components as part of my UI so there was a bit of a steep learning curve there but by the end of the project I was far more confident. I feel like I can now enter the FMP stage of my MA degree with a greater ability to use the digital tools available to me.
I do think Aura satisfies the needs and goals of my target user as identified in the research and discovery phase and solves my initial problem statement but I think there are definite areas of growth.  I plan to continue to grow and develop my prototype further, by adding the capability to pay for your face-to-face session through the app and expanding it to accommodate more holistic therapy courses like reflexology. I’m also particularly interested in exploring how the in-person experience of an Aura student can be better crafted so it works seamlessly as part of a wider user-experience in tandem with the digital product. I think this has been an appropriate project to pique my interest in the bigger, holistic nature of user experience. (Diemer, Schwarz, Arrizon 2012)
